About this Death Cafe
Join us for a special outdoor edition of Big D Roaming Death Cafe at Oakland Cemetery. We’ll gather in the shade for open, thoughtful conversation about death and dying.
After the cafe, stay for a guided tour led by Monica Newbury, Oakland Cemetery’s administrator, who will share stories from the cemetery’s rich past and its ongoing preservation efforts.
Bring your own drink, blanket, or folding chair.
Free and open to all.
Whether you come with stories to share or simply want to listen, you’re welcome here. This gathering is for the curious, the quiet, the questioners, and anyone drawn to explore what death and life mean to us.
Big D Roaming Death Cafe: Moving Conversations on Life, Death, and Beyond
Our gatherings travel across Dallas, offering open, agenda-free discussions on death, dying, and the in-between. Join us for the experience.
Many thanks to Oakland Cemetery for generously providing our inclusive gathering space.
(Stay tuned for a new location following this cafe!)
