About this Death Cafe
The Scarborough Death Cafe is BACK!
Death is going to happen to all of us, why not talk about it?
And cake! Who doesn't want cake??
Join us on the first Tuesday of each month beginning in November 2025 for skull cakes and death-related conversation - all are welcome! (Free event)
About Leona Oceania
Leona is a passionate and outspoken advocate of the 'Death Positive' movement, as well as alternative funeral and burial options. (There are so many choices!) In addition to faciliating the Scarborough Death Cafe, she provide community death education in southern Maine as a Death Educator, Home Funeral Guide, End of Life Doula, Life Legacy Facilitator, volunteer with Maine Death with Dignity, and board member of the Funeral Consumers Alliance of Maine.
She also loves reading, writing, and naps.
